Fat life.
Have you ever thought about being fat? It is a very peculiar state of both mind and body, as it is impossible to achieve fat body without fat mind standing behind it. What I mean by mind being fat (as it probably is a bit on the abstract side of thought) is that you consciously and unconsciously allowed your body to deteriorate into a sorry mess. Becoming a fatty is not something that happens over the night though. It is a gradual process that you can stop at each step of this journey to “Forreversorryland”. And each step you take is heavier than the one before it..
Have you ever wondered how does it feel to be fat? I hope you did not, to be perfectly honest as I think is one of the worst things one can experience, if you think about that kind of thing you must be a real masochist. But still the question is there. Being fat is a constant battle with gravity. Not that only fatties fight with gravity, but their fight is considerably harder than that of the skinny person. Have you ever got extremely exhausted and out of breath? This state is a piece of cake to achieve when you are fat. Every kind of physical activity is quickly followed by this state for a fat person. Every little thing that seems normal and easy for regular healthy person becomes a great problem for a fat person. When you look in the mirror you see an abomination of flesh and bone, a construct that you fathered into this world because you were a stupid and lazy idiot.
Why we strive to be fat?
With the introduction out of the way, let us look at the possible reasons to be fat. As if I ever could call these reasons. It sounds blasphemous to even involve reason in that affair. No reasonable mind would allow something like that to happen. Nevertheless there are some thought processes going on in those fat minds of fat people.
First and foremost fat people don’t care about the way they look for the majority of time. We choose to avoid thinking about what other people may see when they look our way, and of course we try to avoid mirrors because we don’t want to see what others can see when looking at us. It is a temporary solution, as this avoidance of the problem always becomes ineffective at one point or another.
Secondly fat people love food. That in itself is nothing to be ashamed of, but when you shove tons of unhealthy food into the depths of your stomach it becomes a problem. We consciously choose to eat everything that we can lay our hands on, and while I believe that every person, be it a skinny one or a fat one, has this kind of situation happen in their life, fat people have it all the time and choose not to resolve it.
Gradually we also develop deep hatred towards any kind of physical activity. It is a process connected with previous points, as the fatter you get the more you hate moving, the more you hate it the more you avoid it. That creates a spiral of disaster of going down a slippery slope.
Lastly some people claim that our DNA code can be held responsible (at least to some extent) for us becoming fat. While it sounds good to a fat ear that it is not their fault that they are fat it is stupid to just stop at that
Forcing the change.
There are though some emotions that I believe can force a fat person to stop, turn round and start running back towards being normal. I would like to talk about fear, anger and love (or lust, whatever seems more appropriate in a given situation).
FEAR
Humans can do a lot of seemingly impossible things when they are afraid. When you get fat you have to know that it bears serious risks for your health. At first you ignore these fears, you go right past them and carry on. One day though you can wake up in a hospital with a problem that can no longer be fixed. Fear of death burges into your mind by that moment. You realize that it is no longer some kind of a joke, but a very serious situation that you have put yourself in.
ANGER
After some time of being an ugly mass of fat you start to get angry. You get angry at everything that surrounds you. You get angry with your family and friends (if you ever found them). But this anger is not what will make you do something about your problems. You need to get angry at yourself for letting it happen. You have to feel the need to punish yourself for being an idiot all this time. That is the key to the door that blocks your way to normal life.
LOVE
As much of a cliche it may seem, I strongly believe that finding someone that cares for you, or caring for someone is a GREAT help in changing yourself. Either if you already have someone, and you don’t want him to suffer because you are fat, or if you want to grab the attention of someone you harbour feelings for, it doesn’t really matter which one it is. What is important is that you have those feelings and you should do your best to use them properly. In my opinion the most advantageous way of using love for “fat-war” is to fuel your ANGER even more. Let it burn your fatness away.
Surge of hope.
I have watched countless motivational videos that show fatties transforming from who they chose to be into something better. While they gave me an idea of how my life can change, they didn’t help me at all with overcoming my limitations. After all it is all in my head. The three emotions that I rambled about in previous paragraphs were what I needed to at the very least start. I feel the need to transform, to finally become what I should be in the first place. I hope I will make it till the end of the road, where I can finally look in the mirror and see a human being, not some fattened monstrosity.
